To use the cloud recorder you need the following:
- Adequate Internet connection and data plan for all of your sites with access to the recorder.
- Communication equipment configuration to integrate the recorder with it.
- A Total Recall VR Browser or a Total Recall VR Monitor PC application on the PCs with access to the recorder. And in most cases an H2 database server.
As you may know, your sites will access the cloud recorder over the Internet. As a result, you must have an adequate Internet connection at each site with access to the recorder. If a site is streaming traffic to the recorder for the purpose of recording, then please make sure that you have at least 100Kbps uninterrupted bandwidth in each direction for each stream to be recorded. The same applies for sites where you will listen to recordings in progress (while being recorded). Such sites need at least 100Kbps uninterrupted bandwidth in each direction for each monitoring session.
In addition, you need to configure your communication equipment so it can communicate with the recorder. This is different for each equipment and we will help you with advice on what to do (but not how to do it). For example, you may have to configure SIP trunks, UDP connections for RoIP traffic, Tait VRP connections etc. Note that some of equipment configuration may require a purchase of feature licenses for your equipment. Please check with your equipment supplier.
Finally, you need to install instances of the Total Recall VR Browser or the Total Recall VR Monitor PC applications on PCs. We will assist you with the configuration of the applications and can assist you remotely with installation. Note that in most cases you will use the applications in what is known as workgroup mode. As a result you also need to install an H2 database server on your network. See the user guides for the PC applications for more details.
