There are two limits that you should be aware of:
- Database space
- Disk (file) space
All of our recording plans give you the same database space which is enough to store 900,000 records. As a result, you can store as many as 900,000 recordings.
However, the disk (file) space is limited to either 30,000 or 60,000 audio hours – check your plan for details. As a result, you can store up to 30,000 or 60,000 audio hours based on the plan that you are on.
The two limits work together. For example (and assuming your disk (file) space limit is 30,000 audio hours):
- You can keep 30,000 recordings with average duration of one hour.
- You can keep 900,000 recordings with average duration of two minutes.
The recorder has an automatic cleaning mechanism which will delete 15% of oldest first recordings once the system reaches the database or the disk (file) space limit. That is why it is important to archive recordings on regular basis if you wish to keep recordings for longer periods. It i snot possible to disable this feature.
Finally, it is possible to configure your recorder to automatically remove recordings that are older than a specified period – for example older than 6 months. This feature can be enabled on your request.
